The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport vs. the 2018
Toyota RAV4
Santa Fe Sport Engine Options and Power vs. Toyota
RAV4
Drivers in the Akron and North Canton area who are
considering the 2018 Santa Fe Sport get their pick of engines for their SUV.
The Hyundai model has two powertrains to choose from, depending on the trim
level you go for. There's a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 185 horsepower and 178
pound-feet of torque, and a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 240 horsepower
and 260 pound-feet of torque. The Toyota RAV4, on the other hand, doesn't give
drivers any choice. Every RAV4 is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
Plus, the single RAV4 engine doesn't offer as much power as both Santa Fe
Sport options, coming in at only 176 horsepower.
Santa Fe Sport Technology vs. the Toyota
RAV4
Both base models for these two crossovers come
similarly equipped, with standard Bluetooth and a rearview camera. However,
moving up trim levels in the Santa Fe Sport will net you more features quicker
than the RAV4. For example, the next level up in the Santa Fe Sport comes
standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. No Toyota
RAV4 trims come with that feature.
Santa Fe Sport Size vs. Toyota RAV4
The RAV4 measures taller than the Hyundai Santa Fe
Sport. However, the Santa Fe Sport has a wider wheelbase, and it measures both
longer and wider. This difference in numbers means your Santa Fe Sport is going
to feel more stable and secure on the road, better able to handle Cuyahoga
Falls and Green, OH changing weather patterns and road conditions.
