For the 2022 model year, the Hyundai Kona has received a refresh! From the outside, the new Hyundai Kona now has updated slimmer exterior lighting accents, a new wide mouth grill, as well as new wheel designs. Compared to the 2021 model, we think the new Kona has a far more athletic look. Inside the new Kona, you will find lots of improvements in regards to comfort, safety, and technology. The 2022 Kona is also available in a new sporty “Kona N” model as well as its “Kona Electric” sibling. Follow along as Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Green takes you on a tour of the 2022 Hyundai Kona!

Bolder Styling: Inside and Out

As mentioned above, the new Kona has received updates for its front fascia, including new thin lighting signatures, new headlights, and a large honeycomb grille. Around back, the new Kona has some refinements done to its body cladding as well as improved tail lights. The 2021 Hyundai Kona is also now 1.6 inches longer than the previous model. Overall, the Kona looks to have matured and looks great with its simplified front end.

Stepping inside the Kona, drivers will find all the great comforts and conveniences found on the rest of Hyundai’s great SUV lineup. Perhaps the focal point of the Kona’s interior is its “waterfall” center display. The new model comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, as opposed to last year's 7.0-inch. Drivers can also opt for a 10.3-inch unit upgrade. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is equipped standard. More new features found on the inside of the 2022 Hyundai Kona are available wireless smartphone charging, a new digital gauge cluster, ambient lighting, and optional heated rear seats. Rear seat passengers will also enjoy additional legroom as well as dedicated rear-seat USB ports. Heads will be sure to turn when cruising down Akron streets in the new Kona!
